The world’s largest oil disaster just got worse

Never mind the name on the account – this was written by my colleague, Ashley Allison, SierraRise Senior Campaigner. Standing eye to eye with Chevron CEO John Watson, Servio Curipoma fought back tears andbravely declared, “My mother died from your cancer. You killed my mother.”

Chevron files RICO suit in Ecuador case

Using a law written to prosecute the Mafia, Chevron Corp. filed a racketeering lawsuit against a team of lawyers who have been fighting the company over oil field pollution in Ecuador.

Chevron and the lawyers have been locked in an increasingly bitter, 18-year lawsuit that seeks to hold Chevron accountable for contaminating the soil and water in a swath of northeastern Ecuador. Texaco, bought by Chevron in 2001, drilled for oil there from 1964 to 1992 before turning over operations to state-run Petroecuador.  As a verdict in the marathon lawsuit nears, Chevron has tried to prove corruption among the lawyers and Ecuadoran officials involved in the case.

The plaintiffs’ lawyers slammed the new suit as an attempt by Chevron to bleed them of cash and distract the public from evidence of the company’s guilt in Ecuador.

Global warming is the long-term, cumulative effect that greenhouse gases, primarily carbon dioxide and methane, have on Earth’s temperature when they build up in the atmosphere and trap the sun’s heat. It’s also a hotly debated topic. Some wonder if it’s really happening and, if it’s real, is it the fault of human actions, natural causes or both?

When we talk about global warming, we’re not talking about how this summer’s temperatures were hotter than last year’s. Instead, we’re talking about climate change, changes that happen to our environment, atmosphere and weather
over time. Think decades, not seasons. The term global warming itself is a bit deceptive because it implies we should expect things to get hotter — not necessarily stormier, drier and even, in some instances, colder. Climate change impacts the hydrology and biology of the planet — everything, including winds, rains and temperature, is linked. Scientists have ob­served that the Earth’s climate has a long history of variability, from the cold climes of the Ice Age to temperatures as hot as an Easy-Bake oven. These changes are sometimes noted over a few decades and sometimes stretch over thousands of years. What can we expect from a planet undergoing climate changes?

Scientists studying our climate have been able to observe and measure changes happening around us. For example, mountain glaciers are smaller now than they were 150 years ago, and in the last 100 years, the average global
temperature has increased by roughly 1.4 degrees F (0.8 degrees C) . Computer modeling allows scientists to predict what could happen if the climate pattern continues on its current course, projecting, for instance, that temperatures could rise an average of 2 to 11.5 degrees F (1.1 to 6.4 degrees C) by the end of the 21st century .

In this article, we’ll look at 10 of the worst effects of climate change, including some immediate effects observed and some hypothesized through climate modeling.

A few additional perceptual clarifications of space, time, mass, matter, energy, gravity are necessary before engineering and technological applications can proceed with common sense clarity. Mathematics in terms of frequency/energy differential equivalents are required for each factor.

While StarSteps is a far easier read, Russell’s perspective from the sphere/cube, light/sound, periodic table/musical note correspondence presents a reality view from another angle.

The Radius of Curvature, the Constant C: the kinetic energy equivalent of the mass energy of matter
Recall: We can now see that a frequency differential which by the above formula is equal to 9×10(20) ergs per gram also represents the quantity C. When such a frequency differential exists between the observer and the point which he is observing, we again find that the natural laws at the observed point reach zero value with respect to the observer. If the frequency differential exceeds this value, the action of the laws will become negative.

It ends with an equal radioactive, outer explosive speed. This speed is the limit at which motion can reproduce itself in curved wave fields before reaching zero where motion and curvature cease.

Walter Russell: Within each cube field is the curved universe of two way light illusion; and beyond, to the farthest reaches of space, is a repetition of illusion from wave field to wave field at the rate of 186,400 miles per second. That is the speed in which every action-reaction anywhere repeats itself everywhere. This illusion of motion gives rise to the belief that light “travels.”

Walter Russell: The creation of all forms of matter is an eternal interchange between incandescent spheres and cold cubes. All forms are born in the direction of the coldness of space and are voided in the direction of incandescence. Thus, the two opposite plus and minus equilibrium conditions are produced which motivate this electric universe of two-way motion, give to it its heartbeat and produce all effects of illusion caused by the interchange of the two conditions of matter.
