I refurbished the metal stair railing last year. Initially, I started with my Dad’s old wire drill brushes (from the 1960s, that I have continued to use on occasions since), when I had the bright idea of buying new brushes that might provide a smoother, cleaner surface, and get the job done quicker. It was a hot July, and I only had gene shorts on.
Two weeks later, I was still digging out the broken wire pieces (50+) from my legs, arms and stomach.
