But for greed this last half century, how many billions, in the majority kids, who died from starvation, lack of water, lack of sanitation, no medical, and other poverty related diseases, might have lived? There is no comparison. In this modern age, we still live in barbaric times, dominated by greed.
Derivatives Are Manipulated
Runaway derivatives – especially credit default swaps (CDS) – were one of the main causes of the 2008 financial crisis. Congress never fixed the problem, and actually made it worse. The big banks have long manipulated derivatives … a $1,200 Trillion Dollar market. Indeed, many trillions of dollars of derivatives are being manipulated in the exact same same way that interest rates are fixed (see below) … through gamed self-reporting. A comment received on facebook: Greed is part of human nature. We are all greedy to a certain extent. Those who have more than they need will always seem greedier. Unfortunately those who have a lot more and take away from the disadvantaged will have to face their karma. Greed has been around a long time in history, is evident today and will remain until the end of mankind. Greed is one of the seven capital sins which include sloth, envy, pride, lust, gluttony and wrath. These “sins” are not going away anytime soon. In addition despite of our technological advances we are still a very barbarian society where millions of people die because of needless wars. If society gets it straight they will find out that all wars are needless.
Reply to comment: Peter Jocis Some positive thoughts to above mentioned and somewhat contradictory, old, misguided beliefs of “until the end of mankind”, “not going away anytime ‘soon’’”. The lower level destructive emotions, like diapers, are discarded upon growing up (self-realization – no do-do in pants).
I will not go into the psychology, much less metaphysical, why so many still deem permanence to the street term ‘anal’ behavior, …..other than reference Maslow’s survival needs versus self-actualization needs, what society rewards, and the deliberate, behavior shaping, great economic divide (keeping the majority in the survival, me, me, me, mode….as in 14% return on saving instruments transformed to .004% return today).
I recommend personally experiencing various phases of human, energy, and spiritual evolutionary stages (they all follow the same laws/principles), and self-clarify an expanding window of change as the only reality.
Be aware, deliberate stagnation to nature’s evolutionary processes does result in natural explosive correction.
Also, most people can sense, consciously or unconsciously, evolution, like technology, has speeded up exponentially (evolution akin to excited, higher energy/frequency state of electrons).
Not to worry about the Utopia issue, as once these prekindergarten emotional phases are toilet trained, the exciting new challenges ahead will make the old and petrified “deadly sins” completely insignificant.
Nature’s “failsafe” has always been self-realization.
The suppressed new energy systems past due from the 1940s and necessary for sustainable survival now, bring about self-realization automatically. It would be a bit much to ‘believe’, advanced energies thousands of times greater than nuclear, made available to all, while in the current stage of emotional growth stagnation which you specify remains to the end of time.
